What is your favorite part about your job?
Talking about travel and helping people plans their trips. I’ve been doing it now with Hemisphere for 22 years!
Where is your favorite destination?
New Zealand—the culture is so different and welcoming.
What’s your most treasured travel memory, or the best thing you’ve learned while traveling?
I always remember the people. My husband and I were lost in Paris one time and everyone we talked to was so friendly and eager to help us out.
What is the best thing you have eaten while traveling?
Beef in South America!
If you were stranded in an airport, what three things would you want with you?
My phone, a good book and a family member.
What’s one thing you would recommend every student group do while traveling?
Listen to your guides and enjoy! If you take the time to listen and pay attention, you’ll truly learn things you’d never get to otherwise.
What destination do you most want to visit again?
Greece!
What’s your favorite activity while traveling, or something you’ve always wanted to try?
I always love seeing how other people live and their culture. Taking in the architecture in places like Saint Petersburg is also amazing.
