Celebrating 50 Years of Showing Student and Youth Groups the World | (800) 323-6439

Student and youth travel are on the rise, with the World Tourism Organization predicting an increase of almost 300 million international youth trips per year by 2020. Hemisphere sends students all around the world and 2018 was no exception! Get excited for what’s to come by taking a look at some of our top destinations from 2018:

Washington, D.C.

Educational tours in Washington, D.C. provide students and youth with a clearer understanding of how our government works in addition to allowing them to see some of the most important and thought-provoking buildings, monuments and national treasures in our country. In 2018, students stood before the White House, Supreme Court, U.S. Capitol, and visited places like the International Spy Museum, Martin Luther King Jr. National Memorial, U.S. Naval Academy and more. Hemisphere has nearly four decades of experience leading educational tours to D.C., so we’ve got your back.

Springfield, Illinois

Illinois’ state capital is worth visiting for a variety of reasons—and it’s not just because the state is home to Hemisphere’s headquarters. Students throughout 2018 were able to explore the world of Abraham Lincoln, the Old and New State Capitol, Frank Lloyd Wright architecture, the Governor’s Mansion and more. We love planning student trips to Springfield and we’re well-known and well-equipped for it!

New York City, New York

There’s no other place in the world like the Big Apple with its diverse, exciting and intriguing sights, sounds and attractions—students love it! There’s so much to see and do and in 2018, we continued to provide customized educational tours suited to your students’ unique needs. Students soaked in the fun at attractions like Rockefeller Center, Madame Tussauds, Liberty Science Center and One World Observatory. They also learned about history and remembrance at the 9/11 Memorial & Museum, the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and the Tenement Museum.

Chicago, Illinois

Chicago student tours are always very popular choice, and for good reason! Students have the opportunity to experience historic architecture, some of the best sporting events, beautiful lakeside scenery, delicious deep-dish pizza and the hustle and bustle of city life. In 2018, students indulged in some true Midwestern hospitality and visited attractions like Shedd Aquarium & Oceanarium, Skydeck Chicago, President Obama’s Neighborhood, Hard Rock Cafe, the Museum of Science & Industry and more.

St. Louis, Missouri

The Gateway City has something for everyone, whether it’s monumental attractions like the Gateway Arch and Missouri History Museum, more funky options like Six Flags St. Louis and the St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame, or the growing roster of new attractions like Soldiers Memorial. Students can look forward to even more options in St. Louis in 2019!

Costa Rica

In 2018, students experienced all of the adventure, beauty, nature, science, culture and history Costa Rica has to offer on their once in a lifetime Hemisphere tours. Cultural immersion is a high priority and customized tours offer the opportunity for Spanish speaking students to participate in local Spanish classes. Additionally, students were able to visit the Arenal Volcano, go whitewater rafting in the rushing waters, explore the National Museum of Costa Rica, zip line throughthe rainforest and more.
