SYTA Youth Foundation (SYF) application periods are open for the Road Scholarship and the Ripley Hunter “World is a Classroom” Essay Contest. To date, SYF has awarded more than $1.2 Million to more than 6,000 student and youth travelers in need.
Road Scholarship
The Road Scholarship is granted to eligible individual students—or groups of five students or more—for the purpose of education or performance-related travel with their class or youth group. Scholarships are awarded based on the applicant’s circumstances and need, as documented in the application form.
The Road Scholarship period runs through March 16th, 2018.

Ripley Hunter “World is a Classroom” Essay Contest
Do your students have a story to tell about their favorite trip and what they learned from it? Students who write an essay describing what they learned and how they were affected by travel could earn a scholarship of up to $1,500.00 USD.
The Ripley Hunter “World is a Classroom” Essay Contest application period runs through May 15th, 2018.
